Warranty

With higher quality processing, durability is greatly enhanced.  As a result we offer our clients, in addition to a legal warranty, a series of additional guarantees that provide our customers with long term security and confidence in their purchase.  This includes:

1.) Guarantee against breaking – 3 years in conditions of correct use

2.) Guarantee against decay - 15 years, even if furniture is kept outdoors all year long.

Solid wood is a product of nature and can only be processed within certain ranges of tolerance. Structural deviations, irregularities and anomalies are regarded as a characteristic feature of the product and shall not become the basis of any claim unless function of the item is limited in some way. What one client finds to be distracting, another client may not even notice. And a third may interpret the feature as a sign of nature, as a note of individuality; variations in the grain, for example. Like people, every piece of wood is unique. This is the reason why it is impractical to provide a detailed list of all “deficiencies” that may be categorised as an individual characteristic of wood not worthy of a claim, versus ones that would justify a claim.

Further, small cracks or “checking” due to drying that may occur in time, particularly in end-grain; slight shrinkage of wood to the ageing process; minor twists owed to mechanical work; peeling on small surfaces; or other small flaws, if they do not negatively influence the use of the item or its life expectancy, shall not entitle the customer to make a claim against the supplier.

More serious deficiencies in the categories mentioned above should not appear in properly processed teak furniture. However, in situations where such does happen, the affected piece of furniture will be replaced or repaired within the warranty term stipulated in article 1).
